The holidays may be over, but the necessary for generous donations of time and/or materials continues year-around for our furry friends. It takes a lot to efficiently run an animal shelter beyond the actual needs of the animals. You can help by donating to their belief that every animal deserves a "forever welcoming comfortable with." Both of our county animal shelters need your help.

Hillside SPCA is in firm need of volunteers for several positions.

Help is needed to do post-adoption on checks for dogs. The need is local, across the state, and out of state, too. Home hunt down-ups are a very important part of the adoption process and staff have been overwhelmed with investigations, phone call check into-ups, dealing with overcrowding and the regular daily tasks involved in competition an animal shelter.

This is the perfect opportunity for those who want to help with animals but aren't clever to volunteer at the shelter. Adoption follow-up volunteers need to be over the age of 18, have a conscientious vehicle, a desire to make a difference in an animal's life and scantiness to help the shelter. Volunteer for as many or as few hours as you'd like.
