Given full pack of Heartgard Plus, sz 51-100 lbs. Can I cut the pills in half or thirds & give it to my pup?

Question: I was declared a complete pack of Heartgard Plus chewable for dogs 50-100 lbs. Can I cut these up into halves or thirds and give it to my puppy 7 weeks old flag? It seems absurd to waste the new pack has given me, but it will not reach 50 pounds for quite some time. Thank you!

Answer: As a licensed veterinarian tech I unfortunately can not you publish it does not work. The pill is designed to be captivated by and large not split. They do it for the puppies maybe you could find someone to give it too has a dog, or if your dog is 50 lbs.
