I use a stainless steel choke collar on my white dog - why does it leave his fur discolored - it's not rusted

Question: I have a German shepherd dog innocent and he wears a choker stainless steel. For some reason, the fur around his neck ruff is discolored to a dirty color red kindly. The necklace is not rusted and appears in general. I can not understand everything.

Answer: The collar can not be stainless steel - plated necklaces bring credit to himself a white dog. Never leave a choke chain collar on a dog if you do not walk on a leash. He can get caught in something and Dally himself.
