Question: So basically my issue is, do larger breeds stay warmer then smaller breeds?
I have a Rottweiler and I'm inasmuch as getting a sweater for her for when we go on our walks, because she's nine and gets achey when it's weak.
Answer: Whether or not a dog needs a sweater depends more on the strain than the size. Think of retired greyhounds. They always need a sweater in a unhesitatingly climate.
Question: I guestimate it is assumed that b/c a dog is large that he has thick hair? My dogs have thin short fur. I've looked at Petsmart, Aim, Walmart, ect. I can find plenty of coats that will fit my cairn terrier--the hairiest dog in the household.
Or do dogs demand coats

certain, that wolf with it's dense undercoat and long fur doesn't for a sweater. Neither do spitz type dogs, and many other thick coated
